Supply Sensor Failure
The supply water temperature sensor is reporting a fault. Often a sensor that has drifted out of calibration or developed a wiring issue. Replacement is inexpensive and straightforward.
Return Sensor Failure
Return water temperature sensor fault. Same diagnostic path as E01. Check wiring first before replacing the sensor.
Stack / Flue Gas Sensor Failure
The exhaust temperature sensor is reading out of range. This can indicate a faulty sensor or genuine overheating of flue gases, which warrants a flue inspection.
Ignition Failure
No flame detected after ignition attempt. Check gas supply, ignition electrode condition, and gas valve operation. On older Prestige units, the electrode and lead assembly should be inspected for wear.
Flame Signal Lost During Operation
Flame detected on startup but lost during the firing cycle. Often a gas pressure issue, partially blocked burner, or a recirculating flue gas problem from a nearby exhaust vent.
High Limit Exceeded
Supply temperature hit the overheat limit. Check circulator pump, zone valves, and system flow. A no-flow condition will get here quickly.
Low Water Pressure
System pressure below minimum. Top up via filling loop to 12-15 PSI. If recurring, investigate for a system leak or expansion tank failure.
